Lucknow Metro Route & Map
Lucknow metro is known as an urban mass rapid transit system (MRTS) that serves the city of Lucknow, which is the capital of Uttar Pradesh; the metro system is operated by Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRCL). Phase 1 of the Lucknow project consists of 2 lines, which total 33.976 km. Therefore, line – 1 has (22.88 km) which is currently operational, while line – 2 is in the stage of planning.
The construction of line – 1 is an 8.5 km elevated priority corridor section from Transport Nagar to Lucknow railway station (Charbagh), which commenced on 27th September 2014. The trial runs for the Lucknow metro started in December 2016, and the lines for the metro were inaugurated on 5th September 2017; the commercial operation started the next day after the trial session.
The northern and southern extensions of the metro lines to the Airport and Munshipulia opened to the public on 8th March 2019. In the year 2017, the DMRC assisted with making a master plan for the Lucknow metro with six new routes, which range from about 74 km.
The government of Uttar Pradesh, which is led by the chief minister Yogi Adityanath, has provided the green signal to the Lucknow metro second corridor. It will connect Charbagh to Vasant Kunj, which will be ensured as green public transport. Passengers can also use tokens or smart cards to travel on the Lucknow metro trains. Therefore, the metro prices are very low and reasonable.

𝒜. You have the option to extend the token if you are a token holder then the additional fare for extended journey has to be paid at customer care Centre of the desired destination station before making an exit from AFC gates.

You will be charged at least Rs. 50 after this paid token will be provided to make an exit from the station. In any case if the passenger finds the token/card then there is no refund provided of the charged money which was taken to the Customer care Center.
