In 1984, the Urban Arts Commission showed up with an offer to develop an advanced mode of transport system, which would contain three underground mass swift transit corridors. The DMRC was set up by the Delhi government, known as the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, on 3 May in the year 1995. The construction began in the year 1998 for the Delhi metro network. After this, the DMRC Company hired the Hong Kong MTRC by giving the role of technical consultant on fast transit operation and good construction techniques. The Delhi metro network construction proceeded successfully, except for one main disagreement in the year 2000. One of the oldest Delhi metro lines, the Red Line, was inaugurated by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. After that, it was inaugurated by the prime minister of India on 24 December 2002. Delhi Metro was planned to be constructed in a period of about 20 years, with each phase having a target of five years to be finished. To this concept, Delhi Metro also planned that by the end of one phase, they would start constructing another.
