The Noida metro is a rapid transit system that serves the city of Noida Uttar Pradesh, India. The Noida metro connects the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.
The metro was inaugurated in the year 2019 by the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mr. Yogi Adityanath. The timings typically change on Sunday it starts from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM. The Noida metro is considered to be the 11th metro to be constructed in India.
This metro line is known to be the sixth-longest metro line after the Delhi metro, Chennai metro, Hyderabad metro, Kolkata metro and Namma metro. The Noida metro line links with the Delhi metro at Noida sector 51. There is an extension of 15 km which will connect Noida Sector 71 to Knowledge Park 5 in Greater Noida.
The Noida metro is operated by NMRC which has started parking facilities at 15 metro stations. All the 21 stations of Noida metro and the office of NMRC are powered by solar energy. There is a facility multi-model ticketing system available for commuters which will help them to provide a seamless commuting experience to the passengers within the city by using a single common mobility card as fare media. There are penalties that start from Rs. 50 to Rs. 5000 which will vary as per the offenses at Noida metro station.

- October 2014- The government of Uttar Pradesh approved the Noida – Greater Noida metro rail project.
- February 2016- Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) completed the construction of phase 1 in a record time of eight months.
- January 25th, 2019- The Aqua Line Metro opened to the public whose length was 29.6 km.
- June 1st, 2019- GNDA approves a new metro link that will connect the Noida metro to Delhi metro.

𝒜. The passengers are allowed to carry about one bag which contains personal belongings which should not exceed more than 80 cm * 50 cm * 30 cm in size and 25 kg in gross weight is allowed to be carried. If the passengers carry bags in the form of bundles then it is prohibited.
𝒜. A drinking water facility is available at the metro station but it’s not free. You need to pay Rs. 2 per glass through kiosks at almost all metro stations in Noida. The commuters who are traveling from the Noida metro can ask for water from the staff members available at such metro stations.
𝒜. Noida Metro has introduced one separate coach for ladies on each train to make sure of safe rides for women. Therefore male children up to the age of 12 years are only allowed to travel in ladies coaches if they are accompanied by a lady passenger.
𝒜. A new metro rail network will shortly be developed between Noida and Greater Noida which will measure approximately 29.707 km. It will be developed at an estimated cost price of Rs. 5,064 crore and the detailed project report has already been prepared by the DMRC.
