Ashram metro station is one of the famous metro stations of Delhi metro which is located between Vinobapuri and Sarai Kale Khan – Nizamuddin metro station. This metro station was inaugurated on 31st December 2018 which is known as a part of phase – 3 for the expansion of Delhi metro. 

This metro station is present on the pink main line. The total length of this metro station is about 151.6 meters as against 265 meters which makes Ashram metro station the shortest metro station in the system. The Ashram metro station has been defined in three different levels which consist of a platform, mezzanine floors, and concourse. 

The Ashram metro station is known to be the smallest metro station in the world and because of this, it was very challenging for the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation for the construction of this metro station. The DMRC had overcome various legal battles for land acquisition at one of the busiest intersections of Delhi because of all these delays it has prompted the designers to devise a space-minimizing solution that results as the world's smallest metro station. 

This metro station greets the commuters while arriving at the station, the Ashram metro station has captivating artwork depicting the mother and child theme.
