Chattarpur metro station is located in the south Delhi district which is part of Yellow Line Delhi metro. This metro station provides easy accessibility to many residential, commercial, and employment hubs. The Chattarpur metro has been constructed in an area of 26,000 sq. m and it took almost 9 months for its construction.
The Chattarpur metro station was inaugurated on 26th August 2010 and the metro station was constructed using a special pre-fabricated structural steel which helped in the reduction of construction time by almost half. In 2019, this metro station went under renovation as a part of a comprehensive multimodal integration project of the Delhi metro and it also includes the construction of pathways which also consists of a parking space for public transportation.
The Chattarpur metro is considered the third largest metro route of the city metro network and it also contains 17 elevated metro stations. In the south Delhi district, it is located between the Qutub Minar and Sultanpur stations which are present on the Yellow Line. The Chattarpur metro is also devoted to nearby temples and nearby localities like Mehrauli village, Kishangarh village, and Vasant Kunj area. This metro station also consists of three entry/exit gates which also open towards MG Road and gate no – 2 of Chattarpur metro opens towards South West Delhi.
This metro station is all set to become an interchange station for the Silver Line (Line 11) which is going to be constructed soon. The silver line will join Delhi Aerocity to Tughlakabad.
