Mayapuri Metro Station
The crucial artery in West Delhi beats into the critical piece of the Pink Line of Delhi—Line 15—the Mayapuri Metro Station. This elevated station was opened in 2018 and connects locals and commuters to other bustling parts of the city. The station, which sits very prominently on Satguru Ram Singh Road, has two platforms. Platform 1 is used for passengers towards Shiv Vihar, while platform two is used for those traveling towards Majlis Park. The design is modern and well articulated, with enclosed waiting areas and seating to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment for passengers before boarding.
Such an industrial legacy surrounds the neighborhood. The neighborhood was the home to small-scale and heavy metal companies, but is currently speckled with light metal manufacturers, scrap markets, and car repair shops. All the places, be it the Food Corporation of India, Metal Forging, and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, can be easily accessed from this station. However, Mayapuri Metro Station is not a loner. It interfaces with other modes of transportation through the Rajouri Garden Metro Station, the nearest link to the Blue Line. The Mayapuri Crossing bus station is a convenient launching pad to explore the rest of the city as well. It is a terminus for a fleet of buses run by the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC).
