Delhi Metro Green Main Line Route Map

The Green Main Line Metro is a rapid transit system that is available in Delhi, India. This metro line consists of 22 active stations operated by DMRC, which stands for Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. This metro line covers a length of 28.79 km. This line mainly runs between Inderlok and Brigadier Hoshiyar Singh, with a branch line that joins the line from Ashok Park main station to Kirti Nagar station. 

In March 2024, an extension of the green main line that consists of 12.37 km was approved by the union government. The construction is going to be done in 2024, which will be part of the fourth phase of Delhi Metro's development, and it will be completed by the end of 2029. 

In October 2019, it was planned to build steel platforms on the viaduct of the Green Main Line, which will be between Punjab Bagh and Shivaji Park stations, which will give passengers a seamless interchange between the Green Main Line and the Pink Line. 

After this, the construction started that year, and a new halt of the green main line, which is named Punjabi Bagh West, was opened to the public in the year 2022. This line was finally constructed after multiple delays. There is a new halt platform for the green line that is connected by a foot-over bridge which connects Punjabi Bagh West station to the pink line. The foot-over bridge is 212 meters long. For passenger's convenience, this metro line was extended so that it will make their travel easier.

Green Main Line Metro Details

The Green Mainline Metro is present in line 5 and is known as one of the busiest lines of the Delhi Metro. The metro stations on Green Main Line Metro are very clean and eco-friendly. It connects with many other areas of Delhi where passengers can explore the culture and traditions of the city. For the convenience of passengers, the Green Main Line is planning to extend its metro station route in the future. This line is also known as the first line to be constructed under the Delhi metro phase 2. 

The Green Line is a very popular line amongst passengers and tourists because it provides easy connectivity with other stations, residential areas, commercial places, and educational institutions. The DMRC is planning to extend the interchange station between the Green Line and Pink Line Metro for passenger privileges.   • Delhi Metro's Green Line is a completely elevated line.
  • This metro line runs mostly along the busy NH 9 route in North Delhi and North West Delhi, bypassing Tikri Border to enter Bahadurgarh.
  • It is the first Delhi metro line based on standard gauge. A standard gauge railway is a track that is 1,435 mm (4 ft 8½ in) wide.
