The Violet Line is a metro line of the Delhi metro, which is a rapid transit system in Delhi, India. The Violet metro line connects 34 active stations of the Delhi Metro Network and is operated by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. The Violet Line was inaugurated on 3rd October 2010 by the former Prime Minister of India, Dr. Manmohan Singh. This line has a total length of about 45 km, and it passes through populated areas and important commercial hubs.

Delhi Metro Violet Line Details

The violet line metro was originally planned to be open to the public on 10th March 2010. This line has a standard gauge train system which is manufactured by a consortium and Mitsubishi-ROTEM-BELM.
